St. Baldrick's Foundation Fundraiser
Dear Brother and Sister Firefighters
On March 5, 2011 Meriden Firefighters in conjunction with Quality Time Food and Spirits
will be sponsoring a unique event to benefit “Conquer Kids Cancer”. We will be shaving our heads
to raise money for this great cause. Three years ago on a whim, 15 Meriden Firefighters took part
in a Saint Baldrick’s Day event in New Haven and with just 1 week of fundraising we raised 4,500 dollars.
We had such a successful turn out and so much fun that we decided to bring this event in 2007
to Meriden at Quality Time Food and Spirits on Broad St.
We surpassed our goal and raised over $50,000 in our first event, $51,000 in our second event, and $51,000 in our third annual event in Meriden.
This year we are confident that we can beat last years total for this great cause, this is where you come in.
We are challenging all neighboring fire departments and the general public to get involved in this event.
This event will kick start our St. Patrick’s Day week and what better way to celebrate than to go bald for a great cause.
Registering is easy just go to the following web site
